Today is the day!

Today was the day, i decided i had enough of maggi mee and microwave food. Took a walk down Bethnal green and visited the Tesco there!
I spent a good 1 hour in there looking at what i could possibly cook myself. I ain’t much of a cook, in case you didn’t know. Well, gotta start somewhere. I did pick up a few simple dishes which my mom taught me before i came over. Hopefully i still remember. haha.

Spent £14.66 in total and this is what i got.

The most important thing i needed was this!

Anyways out of all the things i bought, i decided to cook something simple for a start. So just fried an egg, cooked some veggies (used the teriyaki sauce i bought) and baked beans. At least got 3 dishes + rice. hahaha. This was my end result. Simple meal lah…but at least better than eating burgers or kebabs! (Maybe i can start a economy “cai fan” rice stall at bricklane soon enough haha)

After all the cooking, i realised what was the shitty part. Cause we don’t have a rice cooker here, i had to use a normal pot to cook the rice. So the bottom of the pot had rice stuck on it obviously, i spent the same amount of time scraping out the rice as i did for cooking! damnit!

Dun scrap it so fast, let the rice soak in the water for an hour or so. You will get the rice out easily… Good luck brother.

If there’s luncheon meat, you can do fried rice.
Fry the garlic,
Egg and luncheon meat,
Pour the cooked rice,
fry it,
put a bit of salt and light soya sauce.

Hope there’s things there. Cook for a while then you know how to get ur fragrance fried rice.

chopped onions, garlic and a bit of ginger. You fry em for a while.

Add chopped pineapples. ( up to you how many you want)

Stir fry a while more.

( if you go to any Asian store in London i am sure you can find a bottle of of Thai fried rice suace or tom yum suace or whatever suace…just mke sure it’s Thai)

Add the sauce into the wok. Not too much at first.

Add cold rice into the mix. ( it’s better if it’s not like just cooked and hot)

then stir fry the whole thing and keep churning and flippin and all that.

Add very lil pepper.

You prob wont need salt because the Thai Sauce or paste will have enough.

If you wanna be stylo - when you add the rice you can also add small frozen shrimp you buy from some cheapo supermarket.

fucking Thai pineapple rice - master of dizazter style yo.
