Converge + Integrity @ Camden Underworld
Growing up on hardcore punk metal music during my teenage years, i’ve never seen a ‘modern’ (back then) hardcore band, back then when they were all the rage (and considered new skool then). Obviously, Singapore was just too far for most of them american hardcore bands and the scene was so small then. Now, 15 years later…i finally get to see them…Integrity and Converge. I feel like a 16 year old all over again hahaha. I probably still look like one to some :p
Here’s the main highlight, and obviously the headlining band of the night held at The Camden Underworld (London) - 13 July 2008.

And of course….the almighty Converge! The place just went bonkers when they came on.

…and came…..chaos!

It’s been a long time since i took photos of bands at gigs….the energy..the sweat…reminds me of
the good ole days when i started out photography when i was a teenager. Now that I’m based in London, there will definitely be a lot opportunities to do band photography all over again based on the fact that, every other band tours in Uk and Europe! Here’s a set of gig photos i took in between 1995 to 1999 in Singapore (Lion City Hard Core), there’s alot more to this obviously…but it will take me months to scan all the negatives.
If you’re a event / gig organizer looking for a freelance photographer to take photos of gigs, please do feel free to hit me up!

Integrity was one of the band that inspired me 15yrs back. It is really something to be able to see them live!
